Something quiet has been happening.
John Ireland, a South African musician who played in Slither alongside Jonathan Handley before the Radio Rats era, and whose 1982 solo single “I Like…” was a big hit in its day, now has his own home on the web.
A website, a Facebook page, and a YouTube channel, with johnirelandmusic.co.za as the hub.
There’s no grand announcement here, no fanfare. Just a door, left slightly ajar. For those who’ve followed John’s journey through to his solo catalogue, this feels like the beginning of something. And if you don’t know his work yet, now is a good time to start.
