Hybrid Mix
“Jesus Come Back” originally appeared on Ramases’ 1971 album, Space Hymns. This unique hybrid mix was crafted using Mixcraft, blending elements from the 2014 remix, a longer outtake, and a shorter alternate version, all sourced from the Complete Discography 6CD set.
I grew up in the Methodist Church. My father Dennis (1932 to 2017) was a church organist, and my mother Joan (1935 to 1996) was a pianist, so I experienced hymns at church and in the home. As well as showtunes, but that’s another story.
My father also introduced me to reading Science Fiction at a young age, so you can imagine that the Space Hymns album was a perfect amalgam of my interests as an impressionable young teenager.

A bouncy, hillbilly-style reworking of Ramases’ “Jesus Come Back”, which was originally released on “Space Hymns” in 1971.
Lovely vocal harmonies and rollicking instrumentation make this a joyful imploration to Jesus to… well, come back.

Lyrics
No tears for the future
No tears for the future
Have you got tears for the future, my friend
No fears for the future
No fears for the future
Have you got fears for the future, my friend
Jesus, Jesus come back
Jesus, Jesus come back
Jesus, Jesus come back
Jesus, Jesus come back
Come back Jesus and we’ll have no fears
Jesus, Jesus come back
Come back Jesus and we’ll have no tears
Jesus, Jesus come back
Jesus, Jesus come back
Jesus, Jesus come back
Jesus, Jesus come back
No tears for the future
No tears for the future
Have you got tears for the future, my friend
No fears for the future
No fears for the future
Have you got fears for the future, my friend
Jesus, Jesus come back…
