Just heard the unbelievably sad news that ALVIN LEE (Ten Years After) died this morning following a routine surgical operation!! Born on 19 December 1944, he was 69 years old. Wow – our heroes are leaving us at a seriously quick pace!! RIP Alvin – you were undeniably one of the true guitar greats! I’ll be doing a short tribute to him on my RockIt Scientist show tomorrow night (on Mix93.8fm, between 8pm and midnight). Special feature will be on the mighty BLUE OYSTER CULT!!
