Cover Versions

South African band Rabbitt, featuring Trevor Rabin, covered “Locomotive Breath” in 1972 and again in 1975. It reached #11 on the Springbok Radio Charts in February 1973 and was number 96 in the LM Radio Top Hits of 1972. Also covered by session musicians for the Springbok Hit Parade Vol. 9.

In 2008, McCully Workshop recorded a live medley of “Bourée / Locomotive Breath”, which was released on McCully Workshop Live!. It featured the flute skills of guitarist Richard Black.

In Concert

Jethro Tull toured South Africa in October 1994 as part of their 25th Anniversary Tour. See the Set list for the Cape Town concert.

They also came back in November 2007.
