The Black Cat Bones are a prominent South African rock band formed in Silverton, Pretoria, in 2007. The band was founded by Kobus de Kock jr on vocals and Andre Kriel on guitars. They are widely regarded as one of the top performing acts in South Africa today.

The Black Cat Bones emerged from the underground sub-culture scene to become a nationally recognized group with a dedicated and ever-growing fan base. Their music is characterized by a diverse blend of influences, combining elements of blues, rock, and other genres. This eclectic approach has earned them a diverse fan base that spans various demographics and musical tastes.

The band is known for their relentless work ethic and professional approach to the music industry. Kobus de Kock jr passed away in October 2023 at the age of 41 and a little while later Gareth Wilson, from Southern Gypsy Queen, stepped into those huge shoes and The Black Cat Bones continued their energetic touring schedule.
